A Beautiful Afternoon and Sunset at Pyramid Lake, Nevada

On my way to photograph a geothermal power plant in the Nevada desert for Nevada Magazine, I stopped by Pyramid Lake and was lucky enough to photograph some of the best afternoon light and one of the most beautiful sunsets that I've seen in a while. Pyramid Lake is located about an hour north of Reno, NV and is an absolutely beautiful place to spend the day photographing, fishing or simply just lounging around. The lake is named for the large pyramid rock formation located on the lake's east shore seen in the photographs below.
